The East Africa Careers Guidance Practitioners Association (EACGPA) started working in East Africa, comprising of Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda & now Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan, since 2002. It is a registered charity in the UK since 2009
Registered Charity no: 1131450.
OUR EXPERTISE
Providing training for Careers Advisers (CA), Careers Teachers (CT) and supporting schools with a Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme.
ETHOS
To encourage the individual, society and countries in East Africa to make choices to improve their futures by:

Raising Aspirations
Inspiring youths about the benefits of education and the training they can receive.

Supporting transition
Facilitating entry into courses and guiding on interview skills, CV writing and communicating with colleges and employers

Improving Retention
Mediating to reduce drop-outs and ensure students complete their training.

Empowering the disadvantaged
Targeted support for students with specific needs to fulfil their dreams

Encouraging lifelong learning
Careers Guidance is required during the entire working life of individuals, as they make choices in their working and learning.
